Random Comments from my Life

Everytime I think I know what I am doing as a counselor I am humbled

The Mets had a great year.  I wish they would have won game 7 but I will get more sleep tomorrow night.

Tomorrow I am going to Findlay for a family get together.  It is weird getting together with distant relatives.  I can't remember who is who.  Is that Sandy or Carol?  I feel like I am doing an old intro to Seinfeld.  I have nothing against getting to together with family.

I am actually going on a blind date soon.  I talked to her for the first time today.  She seemed cool. I have never been on  a blind date.

Mookie I love your blogs and your voice.

Wasting Time

I just spent almost an hour trying to get Tigers World Series tickets and got none.  It is probably just as well for my budget and I did pass on paying $220 to go.  Oh well.  Just another example of how I could use my time better.

Fall is such a great time of year.  The leaves the cooling weather, the baseball playoffs, the NFL, and college football.  Ok I am addicted to sports.

A week ago I went to Iowa for the first time.  Got to see the Mississippi River, got to go with great friends, got to see the Field of Dreams, got to go to an awesome Christian wedding.

Well I better get ready for work

My first real entry

Today does not feel like Tuesday.  I love having Monday's off but I miss it when I don't have my guys group on Monday.  I have been in the same Bible Study for 2 1/2 years.  It has changed a lot in that time but it continues to be a huge blessing.  Except for the fact we are all in our mid to late twenties and white men, it is really diverse.  Each guy is so different and brings so much to the study. I am still chewing in my head what we went over last week.  We were going through Ephensians and one of the guys talked about how deep God's love is and how we will never comprehend it.  Then we got into the topic of worry and we shared what we worry about.  Then we came  to this conclusion that I will sumarize in my own words

1. God loves us more than we can ever comprehend

2. We need to have the faith of a child who faithfully trusts our good Father.

3.  We have no reason to worry because of God's character

When I worked at Toledo Christian I learned so much from kids who had so much faith.  Those kids had faith in their parents because their parents loved them and provided them.  How much better is my Faher in Heaven.

I never thought I would do this

So I have a blog.  I never thought I would do this but I have one.  Enough for now
